We have planned two different programs to reach Monte Bianco 4.810 mt top. First one is a full week to get fit for this ambitious target; the second one is the direct climb in two or three days. Both programs are scheduled along the classic normal route: obviously it’s also possible, according to your technical level, to schedule a more difficult route (like Sperone della Brenva, Peuterey Ridge, Innominata Ridge, ….)

A WEEK FOR MONTE BIANCO

The program start with the ascent, from Rifugio Nacamuli, of Testa di Valpelline (3.800 mt) at the border line between Italy and Switzerland and descent to Rifugio Aosta. Following day you’ll reach Courmayeur by car/bus (relax day!): from there a cable lift brings you to Punta Helbronner (3.462 mt). From Punta Helbronner you cross the Giant Glacier to reach Rifugio Cosmiques, just below Aiguille du Midi. Next day you climb Monte Bianco top, 4.810 mt, following the “Three Mont Blanc Route”: Mont Blanc du Tacul, Mont Maudit and Monte Bianco. The descent way to Chamonix will be chosen according to mountain conditions by the same ascent way or by Gouter route.

4.810 MONTE BIANCO

Three alternative programs, engaging you for two or three days. a) From Courmayeur you reach Punta Helbronner (3.462 mt) by cable lift and from there you cross the Giant Glacier to Rifugio Cosmiques; following day you climb Monte Bianco following the “Three Mont Blanc Route”: Mont Blanc du Tacul, Mont Maudit and Monte Bianco. The descent way to Chamonix will be chosen according to mountain conditions by the same ascent way or by Gouter route. b) From Chamonix you reach Aiguille du Midi by cable lift and, with a short descent, Rifugio Cosmique; the second day you climb Monte Bianco following the “Three Mont Blanc Route”: Mont Blanc du Tacul, Mont Maudit and Monte Bianco. The descent way to Chamonix will be chosen according to mountain conditions by the same ascent way or by Gouter route. c) A three days ascent: first day, from Chamonix to Rifugio Gouter by Nide d’Aigle (2.372 mt) train, second day Monte Bianco ascent by Gouter route and descent to Rifugio Cosmique; third day, crossing the Giant Glacier, you reach Punta Helbronner and are back in Courmayeur by cable lift.
