Following proposals include the most well-known “4.000” in the Alps, where to engage yourself in a high mountain environment.

GRAN PARDISO
4.061 mt high, Gran Paradiso could be your “first 4.000”!
Starting point is Valsaverenche, just in the heart of Gran Paradiso National Park: from there you’ll walk, first day, to Rifugio Vittorio Emanuele or to Rifugio Chabod; along this way you’ll meet the national park animals and birds. Next day you’ll reach, with an easy ice climbing, the top of Gran Paradiso, just on the ridge between Valsaverenche and Cogne Valley.
MONTE ROSA
Two proposals for you on this great mountain with a lot of peaks standing over 4.000 mt.
The first one leads you at Rifugio Città di Mantova (or Capanna Gnifetti) from where you’ll reach, the following day, Punta Gnifetti (4.558 mt) or Punta Parrot (4.436 mt) crossing the Colle del Lys.
The second one leads you from Rifugio Quintino Sella to the 4.527 mt of Liskamm Nose.
ACROSS THE BREITHORN
To climb the Breithorn is a perfect way to acclimatete youself: first day you take the cable car from Cervinia to Plateau Rosa from were you cross western, central and eastern Breithorn, than Roccia Nera and finally down to Rifugio Guide Val d’Ayaz. The second day you can either descend directly to Champoluc or climb also Castore (see program below).
CASTORE
A wonderfull 4.221 mt mountain you can reach from Rifugio Guide Val d’Ayaz, than descending to Champoluc trough the way which passes from Rifugio Quintino Sella.
THE MONTE ROSA CROSS
An impressive climb over 4.000 mt, which develops in 5-6 days: from Champoluc to Rifugio Guide Val d’Ayaz, than you climb Castore descending to Rifugio Quintino Sella; on the third day you’ll reach Lyskamm Nose from where you get the Capanna Margherita, highest Refuge on the Alps (4.554 mt). Following day you climb Schwartzhorn, Ludwigshoe and Punta Parrot, to reach in the afternoon Rifugio Gnifetti. Last day Piramide Vincent (4.215 mt) and down to Gressoney. Technically not to hard, but we ask for good legs!
